Back To Basics

Well as I stated in my last post FOCUS...I have to keep telling myself that. An update for those who read this I will be receiving my first cheque (yeah, I'm Canadian and that's how we spell it) from Clickbank soon, it's for $105 with a couple of recent sales not included. It's not making me rich but it's enough to keep me motivated to keep going! I have kind of gone back to the basics with writing articles and such in an effort to drive traffic. Oh yeah, don't bother spending any advert money with Miva, total crap traffic. I got a $50 credit with a hosting account and used it to try and promote a product...5 days 300 or so clicks later and nothing, not even anybody looking at the order page. Now that is not usual from what I've seen. People may not buy but some will look or try to sign up fraudulently. Oops got run for now. Hope you keep reading and thanks for the support.

P.S. - Edge thanks for the heads up but it's not for me. Keep me update though on how you are honestly doing, you never know I may come on board some time. :)

Stay Focused!

I have to say that one of the toughest things to do when learning to be an affiliate marketer is to stay focused on one thing at a time. There is so much information and so many programs for the beginner to sift through that it become so easy to get buried and lose your way. My advice, for what it's worth is to pick one program or one product, figure out how you're going to market that product and stick with it! Work on that one idea until you prove it is going to work or fail. I have found myself over the past couple of weeks bouncing around from place to place and not really accomplishing anything that I want. Good luck and I hope that this info is helping to any who read it.

New Directions In My Home Biz Journey

Well it's been a couple of weeks since my last post and I have done a ton of research on how to make money from home. Unfortunately I have all but turned off any traffic going to my website promoting myprofitsite. I can't in good conscience promote a product that will not work with Google Adwords. Until the people at myprofitsite come up with a way for people to modify the landing page to include more original content Google won’t send traffic. That's the bad news. Now for the good news, as I have said I have done a ton of research on how to make money being an affiliate marketer and have found that there are hundreds of programs and different ideas on how to make money. There is a lot of crap out there so beware about what you join, make sure that you can get your money back if you don't like what you find. After all of this I have decided to give it a shot following a plan laid out by the people of affilorama.com. Like I said there is a ton of info out there and many different systems but this one appeals to me the most. It does take some effort however and some time but in the long run I think it give me a great chance to generate some consistent income. If you interested in the system the guys at affilorama can be found here. I'm also going to mention a couple of other programs that I have come across (1 that I bought) that give some good tips and tools as well.

The first is The Click Bank Code. It is a system that relies heavily on PPC but offers some good insight into picking keywords and even gives you a tool that evaluates niches and the keywords associated with them. Worth the price I paid for sure. If you want to check them out they can be found at www.the-cb-code.com Like I said great information with lots of video tutorials with step by step instructions.

Now if you don't have any money to due PPC campaigns to promote your website, I found that a couple of different programs that make sense to me. The best is the 4-Day Money Making Blueprint, and is based on what has become called "Bum marketing" meaning even a bum off the street with no money can do it. This system shows you how to find profitable niches and how to market them with little or no money. There are lots of video tutorials and I recommend that you take a look even if you have some money that you can use to jump start your efforts. Lots of great information and ideas to use.

Well that's all for now.

Oh yeah almost forgot. I've made $135.00 so far with a direct link from Microsoft’s Adcenter to an affiliate program. This is apparently the least effective way to promote products but I have made more than I have spent on traffic so far so that is a win!

Thanks for stopping by and good luck.

My First Sale!

Well I have to tell you that it was a very nice surprise to see that I had received an order from my myprofitsite affiliate page. It's only 1 but I haven't really sent a lot of traffic there yet either. I'm obviously hoping to have many more sales.

As I stated in my last post I also started looking around at clickbank for other opportunities, and decided upon a satellite TV for pc program. I set up a campaign with Bing and am getting about 10-15 clicks a day. Not a lot but I'm on a limited budget and was just wanting to test it. Guess what...2 sales in the same day after 4 days! Woohooo!

Hold on...it's been 3 days since and nothing further so I'm not sure if it was a fluke. I'm still ahead of the game as I have spent about $75 in PPC and have earned $102. It's not going break the bank at that rate but it's a start. I'll keep everyone informed of what happens next in my journey to become an affiliate millionaire...or at least make a few hundred extra per month.

That's not good!

Ok after much soul searching I've decided to post some more info on myprofit site. As stated in my last post Google stopped showing my ads due to a poor landing page. I contacted the people at myprofitsite and was told that I am unable to add pages to the site or really make alot of changes to the generic template. I wanted to do this to try and make my landing page less "thin". It turns out they are working on it.

So I'm a little annoyed and start to think screw it, I emailed them and asked for a refund and less than 5 min later I get a reply saying the refund has been done along with the information to back it up through Paypal. I check it out and yes they refunded my money.

Now I still believe in the opportunity that that the net can bring so of course I start looking around at other affiliate idea's through clickbank. Holy cow! There are a ton of opportunities out there, where to start...I'll leave that for my next post.

In the mean time I checked my Google Analytics account for makeezcash and realise that it still operational. They have left my site active, I'm not sure for how long but I decided to take advantage of this as long as I can. You see I still believe in the myprofitsite system, there are alot of great tools and training that is delivered through their site. So I decide to try Bing, Microsoft's new search engine. I go through the process of signing up (not too long) and start a campaign...it's still going and sending traffic to my site! Excellent news, it seems MS doesn't care about affiliate pages and the "integrity" of it's results as much as google does. Works for me! Still waiting to see if there is a sale generated from the campaign, so far about 2000 impressions with about 40 click throughs, 2% not too bad. Of those 40 or so I've had 4 visit the sign up pages for one of my ops but no sales yet. Oh yeah my ad budget is $75/month not going to break me but would love to see what the return is going to be.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll speak to you next time.

WHAT THE F!?

Ok, so I go through the whole Google Adsense thing sign up and set a budget, pick key words and so forth, it was pretty simple and the reporting seems to be pretty good. I watch it for the first few hours and see lots of impressions for my add and a few clicks so I'm thinking this might actually work...

I check again a couple of hours later and nothing.... Ok, maybe I used up my daily budget, so I checked and nope that's not the problem. I couldn't figure it out. Finally I look at the optimizer that Goole offers and realise that Google is no longer displaying my ads because it's ADcrawler doesn't like my "landing page". It's too generic and doesn't offer anything of value other than the link to the site that I'm promoting. Just great, I'm not really sure what to do now beyond change some of the content and hope for the best. I guess if it was as easy as the program says it would be too good to be true.

I'll be contacting the people at myprofitsite to ask some questions on this for sure. I'll let everyone know what happens.

Wrong Format!

Well so much for being easy...Apparently you actually have to pay attention to what you are doing when setting up your Ads. I made a mistake when I first set them up and had my formatting all worng, the ads made my new money making site look very un-professional. No probelm though a quick fix and I'm back in business.

Oh yeah, now listed in Google but no traffic as of yet. The Next step is to add an email marketing campaign to my site. I'll let you know how it is going.

Back from vacation

I'm back...I know that you all missed me...Hello??

Anyway I'm back from taking my family on a small vacation to my dad's cabin at the lake and a good time was had by all. Thanks for asking.

Now back to trying to make money from home with my website www.make-ez-cash.com. So my next step I'm told is to add Google Adsense and analytics to my site and try to pick up some money that way as well.

It was pretty easy and well explained in the set up video offered by the system. I'll let you know how this goes.

My Home Biz Op Trial Begins

I think that I will start this blog with a little about my self. I am married with two young boys, have a decent job but am and have always wanted more than a 9-5 job can offer. I have been looking around for the past couple of years at possible opportunities that may exist from work at home business opportunities. I finally decided to take the plunge and try one that I did some research on and it didn't look like a scam, it is myprofitesite.com.

After signing up and paying a small fee, I am given access to the myprofitsite system. This includes a free "proven" templated website. I do have to pick a domain for new website first however, I went with www.make-ez-cash.com . I am not sure about the domain but it is easy to remember and had something to do with what I was trying to do, which was promoting web programs that offer money making opportunities. The myprofitsite system also provides links to a search engine submission program that will submit (for a other small fee) my website to over 200 search engines that will help to drive traffic to my new money making website.

I have to admit that I am a bit leary still about the whole thing but myprofitsite does offer multiple video tutorials on how to set up every thing from your basic website to advance web marketing using Google Adsence. I am still going through with all of the differnent programs that are suggested and will post next to update how things are going.
